Fayette County has an issue that involves TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) allegedly hiding groundwater and air contamination at the Fayette Power Plant.  This has been successfully escalated to the EPA and the SEC division of Enforcement.  Now, we need our State Senator, Lois Kolkhorst to step up and use her authority to demand a public hearing regarding the LCRA Fayette Power Project. 

This is not a political issue...it is a community environmental issue.  We need to Fill Kolkhorst's office voicemails this weekend, call staffers Monday re:  CASE 38538/Permit O21.

Allegedly, the state is trying to hide evidence of heavy metal water contamination and toxic air emissions. This cover-up has already been escalated to the SEC Whistleblower Division. As our Senator, we need her to formally demand that the TCEQ hold a public meeting in La Grange before any permit changes are approved.”
