It’s primary season!  I’m feeling extremely hopeful because for the first time since 1974, Texas Democrats have candidates running for every federal and state seat. In 2026, we are no longer giving Republicans a free ride—they will have to fight for every seat in the midterm elections.

Primary elections exist for one reason: They exist so party members like us can choose candidates who truly reflect our values, priorities, and vision for Texas’s future.

This is an opportunity to learn more about the candidates running for TX-27 and HD-85, hear what they stand for, and decide who you believe should carry our message forward.

Make a plan to vote in the upcoming Democratic Primaries and keep these dates in mind:
